Corey Haim, the troubled actor best known for his roles in films like 1986's Lucas, and the 1987 teen vampire thriller The Lost Boys, has lost his battle with drug addiction.

Los Angeles police confirmed his death from an apparent drug overdose Wednesday, though they haven't determined what kind of drug killed him.

The 38 year-old Canadian actor was pronounced dead at 2:15 a.m. at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank after being found "unresponsive" in his apartment, according to Coroner's Lt. Cheryl MacWillie. She also reports that an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. There are no further details at this time.

Haim, who was a teen heartthrob in the 80s, had reportedly been struggling with drug addiction, which led up to his death. His name was often confused with his long-time friend Corey Feldman, who he co-starred with in The Lost Boys and the A&E Reality show The Two Coreys, which was canceled in 2008.

So - for the record - Corey Haim has died, tragically. Not Corey Feldman.
