“Born in China” With Lasting Love

“Born in China” With Lasting Love

How can you resist watching animals born in the wild and comforted by their parent?  The cameras roll depicting the drama, love and adventure in the Disneynature Blu-ray/DVD release of Born in China. Following animal life in remote lands, the cinematographers wait patiently just to get a few minutes of storytelling for all to see.

With wide shots of the environment of China we are treated to the awesome beauty of their rich land.  Not only for the animals that will be showcased, but of parts of the vast country that many have never seen. It’s this breathtaking panorama of life and nature that makes this film a wonder to watch with a story told in the four seasons.

Ya Ya and Mie Mie in BORN IN CHINA

Starting with the Snow Leopard, we follow Dawa who hunts in the highest plateau on Earth for food and protects her family from predators. Her story is a battle of wits, shrewdness and will to survive. Follow her as she protects her ground and her cubs through some of nature’s grueling weather and challenges.

In another range of mountains we find golden snub-nosed monkeys. Among them is the mischievous Tao Tao.  The two year old has already been emancipated from his family and finds himself jealous of his newly born brother.

Not far away from Tao Tao in the jungles filled with bamboo we see the giant panda called Ya Ya. Much like most bears of the world, Ya Ya loves to eat and scratch and take care of her newly birthed daughter Mei Mei.

Far to the west in China the Chiru Antelope roams the plains. The herd splits up with the females traveling far from the males to a lake where they give birth. Able to adapt outside the womb, the young Chiru are able to run and play among the other newborns.

Each of our star animals will have an adventure of their own as we follow them through months of their lives from summer to fall to harsh winter and lush spring. Their lives will change over the stretch of time and the cubs will lose their childhood trough challenges, dangers and trials that will test them.
