My Morning Jacket is participating in American Express’ continued original live concert series Unstaged next week on Tuesday, May 31st. In partnership with VEVO and Youtube, the premium credit card company (which is already known for it’s exclusive pre-order advantage when it comes to ticket sales) is offering fans of the band a chance to live stream the concert online through both outlets at 9pm ET or 6pm PT. Following major success of streams like that of the extremely popular Arcade Fire at Madison Square Garden live concert event, American Express continues on with it’s next installment featuring My Morning Jacket performing at the Palace Theatre in their hometown Louisville, KY. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Todd Haynes, the concert will feature performances of songs off of the bands forthcoming album Circuital, also due out Tuesday (pre-order now on iTunes).

New York based alternative newsweekly The Village Voice has re-vamped their famed, wildly successful one-day summer music festival and moved it’s location. The Siren Music Fest is now 4Knots Music Fest, being held at the South Street Seaport on July 16th. Despite having moved from Brooklyn’s Coney Island to Manhattan’s Pier 17, it still holds the same draw for college kids and music-loving tourists alike: it’s free, all-ages, rain or shine – and it’s awesome.
Experimental rock band Man On Earth are kicking things off proper to sound the drums for upcoming album Things They’d Never Believe with a summer schedule of performances beginning with an acoustic set tonight at the Legendary Dobbs in Philly.
