In conjunction with its SXSW premiere, beginning March 12, Under Great White Northern Lights will be available for 30 days via IFC’s “Direct From SXSW” partnership. Found in a special branded “SXSW” section on the movies-on-demand page the same day the film premieres at SXSW. It will be available in approximately 40 million homes on most major cable systems, including Comcast, Cablevision, and Cox. In addition, Third Man Records announced their most ambitious temporary store yet, set to pop up at the South By Southwest Music Conference from March 17 through March 20. Located at Frank Restaurant on 4th and Colorado, Third Man Records at SXSW will feature exclusive Third Man vinyl only available at TMR SXSW, debut releases, screenings of The White Stripes' film Under Great White Northern Lights, food, drinks and more. The Third Man Records SXSW shop will be open to the public from 12 - 8 p.m. daily -- and you don't need a SXSW pass to get in. Fans will also be able to purchase The White Stripes Under Great White Northern Lights as part of a limited edition box set, which includes not only the film, but also a live DVD of the band's 10th Anniversary show, Under Nova Scotian Lights, as well as a CD/double LP of 16 live tracks, exclusive 7-inch, hard cover book of photographs and a silk-screened print. This impressive package will also be available on March 16, with pre-orders currently being accepted from http://whitestripes.com/ugwnl_boxset/. If that's not enough ... The band’s first ever live album, also available on March 16, will be premiered exclusively on NPR.org’s All Songs Considered as part of their “First Listen” series from Monday, March 8 to Tuesday, March 16.
