Emotional has been an overused adjective in trailers for motion pictures coming to theatres. But, as a description for The Boys Are Back, it’s the perfect choice. The film, inspired by a true story, is touching and inspirational. Settle back with your favorite person(s), plop the DVD into your player and enjoy a memorable film. Oh, you may want to set out a box of tissues, as this drama is a tearjerker.

I think Bruce Willis is probably the best all-around film star that has survived nearly three decades without a dud. And with Surrogates it’s a near miss. Just eking above average, the film survives with some awesome special effects and Willis’ creative performance. If you like science fiction that goes hyper realistic, then Surrogates should be on your DVD short list.

Extremely kid friendly, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs makes its way onto DVD providing a fun time for the youngsters. Adults will probably enjoy the film as long as they are watching it with children. If you are over the age of 12, and have already seen Ice Age and its sequel, then you may feel like this one is more of the same.
