Anarchy Club are inspired by Kung Fu films, horror movies, and anime. With bands like Black Sabbath, Rob Zombie, Gorillaz, Johnny Cash, Nine Inch Nails and early Metallica as a backdrop into the world that consumes the members of Anarchy Club, all of these muses give way to the originality that can be heard on their albums, including their new release A Single Drop of Red.
The deep, raw and rough edge to the singer's voice puts me on edge -
and not always in a good way - but this band kept me enthralled
throughout the entire album!

Based on a true story, The Bank
Job pays off big with action and intermittent comedy. I loved the cast, which has great chemistry
together, and the direction keeps the group likable and interesting. The movies coming from the Brits have been
great entertainment during this slow period of the year.
Terry
(Statham), a car dealer with a sordid past, gets involved with Martine (Burrows),
a beautiful model he once knew from his old neighborhood. Not thinking with his brain, he accepts a
proposition by the woman on a foolproof bank heist that will set them up for
life. Their objective is to break into
a room full of safe deposit boxes that contain money and jewelry of the London rich and
famous.

10,000 BC, the first exciting dramatic adventure
flick for 2008, has arrived and it’s an earth-shaking winner. The film hits the bull’s eye for its action-addict target audience. I loved the
blend of mythical fantasy and historical implication in 10,000 BC’s
captivating storyline.
It’s
a time when African lands, populated with many cultures and civilizations, are
being harvested into slavery by the tyrannical Egyptian ‘God’ to build the
great pyramids. In a far-off village at
the foothills of a large mountain range, the community seer has seen the coming
of the four-legged demons that have pillaged neighboring towns, capturing the
males and destroying villages.

A stand-out performance by Amy
Adams, and spectacular costuming, saves Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. Spooling out like a Broadway play makes the
film seem a little flat, but rest assured the romantic situation comedy has
substance. If you’re a legitimate
theatergoer, or you enjoy a feisty romance, this film will fill the bill.
A
down and out middle-aged governess, Guinevere Pettigrew (McDormand) has just
been let go from her third job obtained from a local placement agency. Rebuked by the agency’s owner for another chance
at employment, she swipes a contact card off her desk before leaving.

Winner of the 2007 Academy Award for Best Foreign Film, The
Counterfeiters brings to the screen a true story with an astonishing plot,
great acting and amazing cinematography.
I was drawn into the sorrowful story from the very beginning, to its
revealing ending. Whether you are a
child of the times, a film buff or a historical student, it’s a must see.
After being arrested by Nazi Inspector Herzog (Striesow) for
counterfeiting, Salamon “Sally” Sorowitsch (Markovicks) gets sent to Mauthausen, a brutal concentration camp,
where he survives on his artistic skills.
After many years of doing portraits for the Commandant, Sorowitsch
suddenly finds himself on the way to
Sachsenhausen, a concentration camp run by Herzog.
