Jericho - A Nuclear Soap Opera Print E-mail

jericho_dvdset.jpg Starring: Skeet Ulrich, Ashley Scott, Lennie James, Michael Gaston, Sprague Grayden, Erik Knudsen, Kenneth Mitchell, Brad Beyer, Shoshannah Stern, Pamela Reed and Gerald McRaney

If you are into ‘soaps" that tangle people"s lives around a major plot, then Jericho"s for you. The film has a mixture of many good and interesting plot twists, which are engrossing but in some instances over dramatized. I recommend the DVD, which eliminates commercials and allows you to move the story along with a touch of your remote control. The special features are excellent and worth watching.

The plot of Jericho centers on people in a Kansas town that witness the explosion of an atomic bomb in far off Denver.

hero_bookcover.jpgHero, the debut novel by Hollywood producer and longtime comic book fan Perry Moore, is a deliciously entertaining read that will have you asking for seconds well after the final page has been turned (whether you"re a comic book enthusiast or not).

The protagonist of the story is a teenager named Thom Creed, who has recently learned that he has an unusual but wonderful new gift, the power to heal himself and others. Unfortunately, not everyone thinks Thom or his new talent is worthy of praise.

Bring a box of tissues with you when you go to see Feast of Love, it"s a wonderful heartfelt film which delves into some very different relationships. Not a chick flick, yet probably more emotional for women. (Guys, it"s hugging time.)

intheshadowofthemoon_poster.jpgRated: PG
Starring: Edwin E. Aldrin Jr, Alan Bean (II), James Lovell, Edgar Mitchell, David R. Scott
Directed by: David Sington

In The Shadow of the Moon, takes the audience back to a portion of United States history that marked a space age renaissance. It was a moment where America drag raced against the Russians to reach space in nothing more than glorified garbage cans.
