What
do you get when you put together essence of soul, the vivacity of jazz, appeal
of pop, the unconventional in alternative, and a touch of time-honored
classical music? You get no other than the debut album by Kirsten Price, Guts and Garbage, which is anything BUT garbage, in stores early Summer
2008.
It
is not too often a talent comes along with such diversity. I had the honor and
pleasure of speaking to Ms. Price when she took the time out of her busy schedule for an enlightening
interview.
When describing her history, Kirsten says, "Well
in a nutshell...I grew up in central London with my single mother. I sung in
church choirs, school choirs, local choirs, medieval choirs, and gospel choirs.
I was always addicted to singing. As a child my voice was always way too big for
my body and I got a big kick out of shocking people with it."

The Los Angeles based band, No More Kings, broke out onto the scene last year with their self-titled debut album. The group sings about everything from Sally Brown, to the Peanuts, to the Smurfs. The band's name comes from an episode on School House Rock which was about the Pilgrims leaving England because they wanted sovereignty.
No More Kings has an eclectic love of various styles of entertainment, and they are off to a great start. With influences like The Karate Kid, School House Rock, Dirt Poor Robins, and Knight Rider, everyone can see this band has a sense of humor, are young at heart, can rock a crowd and have a great time while doing it!

With so many up and coming pop alternative bands sprouting up everywhere, it is hard to keep track of all of them. What's even harder is trying to listen to so many, and decipher the ones who have that certain something from the ones that don't. The Plain White Ts seem to be one of those "certain something" bands.
Tom Higgenson, the lead singer and founder of the band, and Dave Tirio,
guitarist, were most eager to play a game of 20 questions with ACED.

The Hives: Veni Vidi Victorious |

More than likely, you already know a few basic things about The Hives. They're the latest hit band to come out of Sweden since ABBA and Ace of Base...except The Hives are much better. You rocked out to their hit single "Hate to Say I Told You So" in 2002. They often make appearances in pimped-out matching suits that leave you with quite the impression.
As fun as all those things may be, what lies further beneath the surface is even more enticing. You get your first true taste of The Hives with stage names like Nicholaus Arson (guitar), Howlin' Pelle "HP" Almquist (vocals), Vigilante Carlstroem (guitar), Dr. Matt Destruction (bass) and Chris Dangerous (drums). You can bet that chaos is this band's theory. Their recipe for world domination starts with a whirlwind of musical diversity.

Past and Present with Former SNL Member, Victoria Jackson |

Former Saturday Night
Live member, Victoria Jackson, takes time out to talk about the past and present. The bubbly blonde
that everyone loved on SNL continues
to thrive off the ditzy, blonde stereotype by using it in her
act. Whether it be getting involved with
TV or movies, doing stand-up comedy or just simply being a Christian wife to
her husband, Victoria Jackson is still keeping it real.
Jackson's recent project was being a part of Thou Shalt Laugh The Deuce. The DVD features four other Christian
comedians performing live stand-up comedy.
The program is hosted by an Emmy Award winning comedian and actor, Tim
Conway. It's good, clean fun at its best,
and absolutely hilarious.
