With the first Christmas lights starting to appear in the horizon, last year's nightmare comes to life in our heads.
Last year you swore. You swore it over your Playstation, your CD collection, your dream of owning a Manolo's pair someday, and over your Harry Potter books—next year you would start with your Christmas shopping by Thanksgiving.
But next year turned into this year. Even if you swore you would have your Christmas shopping done by December 15th, here you are, again, December 23rd, in the middle of a commercial center, infested with crazy souls, trying to get something, anything, before Christmas Day. You realize you are, yet again, part of the bevy of people who will end up buying the wrong presents for the wrong people due to the wrong planning.
But don't stress. It's still November, right? This means that the
former never happened, and you still have time to get your Christmas
shopping done in time. Want some help?

Thanksgiving is a time of peace, joy and turkey. However, so many little things can get in the way of a good Thanksgiving meal. So, if you"d prefer a pleasant holiday, avoid ACED"s top ten ways to ruin you turkey day:
1. Get Culinary Before your Time- You don't necessarily have to be a culinary mastermind to cook Thanksgiving dinner, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't have some experience! It is generally believed that the Seven Deadly Sins originated as a tool in early Christian teachings to instruct followers on the behaviors that could potentially harm their prospects of eternal life.
Traditionally, the Seven Deadly Sins were lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride, but in a world fascinated with things new and improved, upgraded and digitally re-mastered, it is unthinkable that sins identified in the 6th Century A.D. could tempt today"s trendy consumer.
With so much emphasis on multi-tasking, modern sins must apply not only to eternal life, but to present day as well, hence, the re-mix.

Get a Piece of the Rock- Moon Rock that is... |

It's funny that this event happened so close to Halloween. I think of the Peanuts gang and Charlie Brown's experience trick-or-treating. All of the other children would get candy, but poor Charlie Brown would sadly report, "I got a rock."
At first, to look at it, it might be tempting to be blasé and think, big deal. Then when you stop and think about all the effort, time,
talent and treasure that hundreds of people poured into the NASA
program back in 1968, you begin to realize that, yes, it is a big deal.
Twelve men risked it all for a chance to walk on the Moon, some of
them, like Walter Cunningham, Walter M. Schirra, and Donn F. Eisele,
were lucky enough to bring home a few souvenirs. Years later, we
Earthlings, along with some of the former astronauts still alive,
reminisce about the momentous adventure.
