lilbush_dvd.jpgJoking aside, most people can agree that these last eight years of Democracy hasn’t been that great with War, Inflation and Economic degradation. Most people blame the President for this, and what better way to get back at him than making an animated show all about him. So who do we call? Comedy Central!

The show follows Lil’ Bush, Lil’ Rummy, Lil’ Condi, and Lil’ Cheney as they have wacky adventures which reflect what the creators would call ‘Great Follies’ on the President's part. Many episodes involve the Lil’ Republicans having problems with the Lil’ Democrats including Al Gore, John Kerry, Barrack Obama and Hilary Clinton.

Lil’ Bush lives in the white house with his father George Senior (the current president), Barbara Bush (the grandmother-like character), and his brother Jeb (who is mentally handicapped). During dealings in the White House, we see many things that are obvious stabs at the government. For Example, at the beginning of each shot of the White House you can see oil rigs pumping oil and large missiles from either side.

Many episodes poke fun at tough issues giving it a South Park feel. Global Warming, Iraq...even Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11 is translated into wacky adventures and antics on the Lil’ Republicans part.

Lil’ Bush is definitely witty political humor at its best, but hey that’s what you’re buying right? There is commentary on all 6 of the episodes by the cast and creators, as well as celebrity commentary on three select episodes by such figures as Jerry Springer and Ralph Nader.

In addition to a less-than-spectacular Table Read of one of the episodes, there is a never-before-seen episode "Walter Reed", which is seen for the first time on the DVD, and let me tell you--it’s just as funny as the rest of them. The behind-the-scenes interviews also gives us a little window into the minds of the cast and creators. We even get a ‘Lil’ White House tour with Lil’ Bush himself.

Final Analysis: There is a ton of stuff jam-packed into this one disc. Aside from the table read, all the special features are top-notch. If you love Political Humor, or just humor in general, this is a definite DVD you'll want to pick up.
