Critique:
Nancy Drew is a great flick for young adults. She is a great role model for girls. She shows us it is OK to be yourself. Nancy doesn't give in to peer pressure, she isn't the most popular, most beautiful... it's OK though. She is herself. Nancy is smart and she's not afraid to take chances. These qualities are great when making a movie about a teenage sleuth, and Emma Roberts does a fantastic job bringing her to life on screen. The film is fun and fits its audience well. Most people will enjoy watching Nancy throughout her filmic exploits of mystery and mayhem. She even makes a great fashion statement -- well... I liked the outfits anyway. The features are light-weight, but nice to look over for the younger crowd as you get a peek into the world behind Nancy Drew.

With her magnifying glass and fingerprint powder in hand, Nancy Drew
leaves River Heights for La-La-Land...but not to meet that guy on
Smallville, as her boyfriend Ned fears. No, she's out to solve one of
the greatest mysteries ever: the death of movie star Dehlia Draycott.
But the bigger mystery is how our perky, plaid-clad sleuth will fit in
with the text-messaging teen queens of mean she meets at Hollywood High.
