hitman_dvd.jpgPrepare for the ultimate rush of adrenaline when you explore the world of Hitman as never before. Packed with explosive, unrated action not seen in theaters, this dazzling disc is locked-and-loaded with awesome deleted scenes, an alternate ending, and more!

The best-selling videogame, "Hitman," roars to life with both barrels blazing in this hardcore action-thriller starring Timothy Olyphant (Live Free or Die Hard). A genetically engineered assassin, known only as "Agent 47", finds himself ensnared in a life-or-death game of international intrigue and violent retribution once his assignment goes wrong.

Rated: Unrated
Starring: Timothy Olyphant, Dougray Scott, Olga Kurylenko
Director: Xavier Gens

DVD Features:

  • Forced Trailers - Alien vs. Predator: Requiem, The Onion Movie, Bachelor Party 2
  • Ovie's Pool Scene
  • Hospital Scene
  • A Different Train Platform
  • Udre's Death
  • Alternate Ending
  • Trailer Farm - Lions for Lambs, The Comebacks, In the Name of the King, The Onion Movie, Transporter 1 & 2 Combo (title not final)

Critique:

Hitman plays out like a video game. It roars with great action that pulls you through to its end. Various situations are not always realistic, but the bangs and booms keep you entertained.

The sexual tension between Agent 47 and his harlot tag-along is sometimes comical, but mainly noneventful. It is one big screen-tease, although the guys probably won't mind any of the bare essentials from one scene to another...

The acting is adequate and the story up and down. People don't come to see movies like this for their Oscar-worthy protrayals though, and for this genre, the acting and story are acceptable.

The alternate ending is the most interesting of the features for this DVD version. The deleted scenes and forced trailers are nothing special, however.

Final Analysis: This is a great film for game lovers, action lovers or anyone else who enjoys a "cinematic" ride.
