Blowing Trees' self-titled album wields a sound that is reminiscent of various masters of music (Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Radiohead), yet altogether original and unique. A soft tone, with a definite rock influence, flows through the instruments of Roy Scavone (bassist), Drew Pierce (drummer) and Edwin Jared Stephens (lead guitarist), as their talents meld into a solid palate of psychedelic strength that plays the perfect backup to the calming, passionate voice of lead vocalist, Chris Maddin.

This ragtag band of musicians from San Antonio, Texas, was brought to full unity in 2003 as Blowing Trees. They have a style that comes across as alternative, with a twinge of the psychedelic, and a subtle passion that causes the music to reverberate strongly into the senses -- a very interesting and entertaining mix.
