Muse is one of the few bands that can completely pull this off. Forget the normal live production groups release -- this is no short, boring, poorly produced, low-quality live CD and/or DVD. With songs strong in the studio to begin with, the 'live' aspect adds even more power to an already fantastic experience. The instruments, vocals, and effects are blended to perfection just as expertly as with studio production, and the songs flow seamlessly. It is apparent they put a lot of care into this. The sheer length of both also add to the value -- the DVD is about an hour and 40 minutes, while the CD is about an hour and ten minutes. Not only does the DVD sound wonderful, it is also visually interesting and outstandingly well put together. The CD is also equally high quality, and together they are a perfect showcase of Muse's musical and performing talents. In conclusion, even if you have all of Muse's albums and have attended a concert (or a few), HAARP would still prove to be a wonderful addition to your music collection. This is as good as live compilations come, and you won't be disappointed.

April 1st brought the release of English band Muse's live CD/DVD HAARP, recorded on June 16th and 17th at Wembley Stadium. As one of the world's leading post-prog/alternative rock groups, the success that their albums and live shows have brought them is indisputably apparent in this combo. Prepare to turn up the volume!
