The Iry is a band formed from four childhood friends. Located in Columbus, Ohio, they bring back the alternative/punk sound of the nineties, with a unique and interesting addition from the piano, played by lead vocalist Stefan Schwartz, which creates a classical contrast to the punk roots that makes them fit wonderfully into modern culture.
Their music is very deep-rooted into its alternative origins, with a beautiful soft-flowing beat, and it gets jazzed up with the addition of the piano. There is a distinct backbone created by the punk influence that draws in an erratic, but uniquely acceptable, tone to their music as well.
The Iry's songs tie
together extremely well, bringing the listener through a series of
tales and emotional journeys, making sure nothing and no one are left behind.
