The special programming touches every MTV screen – from on-air to online. From mobile phones to the giant 44 ½ foot HD screen in Times Square, Think MTV is designed to inform and inspire young people to become active participants in the conservation of our planet’s natural resources.

Premiere of Animated Series “Perfectland”
You can watch four episodes on the Official Site, or on your phone if you're a wireless carrier in the MTV Mobile family. They are shockingly violent so don’t have your little sister or brother watching them with you. Their message: how innocent nature-loving creatures and their ecosystems are exploited and destroyed by us for our benefit. What we can do about it: learn how we can stop the torture of animals from one of their biggest advocates, PETA. MTV News Goes Green Today’s episode of TRL will feature a special MTV News report profiling the hottest trends in sustainable fashion, with eco-chic gear from Converse, Levis, Quicksilver and Edun; in addition to, a socially conscious fashion line from Ali Hewson and husband Bono. Fashion models and MTV News correspondent, Tim Kash, will sport the latest environmentally-friendly wares, reminding everyone that hemp clothing is so last year. Yay! MySpace Going Green Earth Day will also bring an MTV News interview with everyone's first friend, Tom from MySpace, who will discuss how MySpace is building a network of tree huggers through new green initiatives. 52/52 Artist Gossip Advocates for Mother Earth Blazing alt-rock group Gossip is lighting up the world with their new LP “Live in Liverpool", and as this week’s MTV 52/52 Artist, they’re taking time out to encourage mankind to rethink its commitment to conservation. The band recorded a pro-Earth spot, which will run all Earth Day on MTV and be available on demand. Street Team ’08 Covered the “Green Apple Festival”
Break the Addiction PSAs on Every MTV Screen Since launching Break the Addiction two years ago, MTV has amassed a collection of striking and award-winning PSAs that detail simple, daily steps anyone can take to have a measurable impact on the fight against global warming. The spots will air all day today on MTV2, mtvU, MTV Tr3s, MTV Hits, MTV Jams and MTV 44 ½ – the network’s giant HD screen in Times Square. As part of its ongoing, award-winning Break the Addiction campaign to fight global warming, MTV today began rolling out new series and features that celebrate environmentally friendly living, timed to coincide with the 38th anniversary of Worldwide Earth Day.
The new season features the first ever eco-friendly Real World house, complete with a computer-powered stationary bike, solar panels, energy efficient appliances, bamboo flooring, and a hybrid car. Watch as the cast is captivated and inspired by their environmentally sound home. Every episode of “The Real World: Hollywood” closes with an eco-tip from one of the roommates.
Today, on Earth Day, Think.MTV.com and MTV Mobile will premiere “Perfectland", a new animated four episode series from award-winning animator Benjamin Meinhardt (Ed, Edd and Eddy). The series focuses on a cyborg-cowboy profiteer who never saw a natural resource he didn’t want to pillage, and the mutant revenge of the cuddly animal creatures he’s always exploiting.
MTV’s team of “Choose or Lose” citizen journalists attended America’s Largest Earth Day Celebration. Each week the Street Team reports on the political issues of greatest importance to America’s youth. They were on site at four of this past weekend’s eight blowout eco-festivals: New York, Florida, Colorado and Washington, D.C. Street Team’s Green Apple Festival reports will debut today on the Choose Or Lose
