![]() Rated: PG-13 In this adventure, swirling with cliff-hanging excitement and awesome special effects, Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton play scientists pursuing the most destructive weather front to sweep through mid-America's Tornado Alley in 50 years. By launching electronic sensors into the funnel, the storm chasers hope to obtain enough data to create an improved warning system. But to do so, they must intercept the twisters' deadly path. The chase is on! DVD Features:
Twister is a fabulous movie in its own right. It contains all of the elements needed for the "perfect storm" on screen: great story, fabulous actors, likable characters, kick-ass twister action and a little humor for good measure. The video quality of this re-release has been successfully transformed with visuals suitable for anyone's wet-dream, hi-def fantasy. It is jaw-dropping in comparison to its previous version. Not only does the remastered movie suck you in, the new extra features will capture your attention as well (in addition to the ones on the previous release). With the bonus "Nature Tech: Tornadoes" from the History Channel, as well as the all-new "Chasing the Storm: Twister Revisited" featurette, you will be entertained long after the film has run its course. The actors are some of the best in the field: Bill Paxton, Helen Hunt and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The entire cast works seamlessly together. It is very much a "big family" sensation on screen.
Final Analysis: Twister will pull you into its "suck zone" with amazing visuals, familiar characters and an exciting storyline -- great to watch again and again. Comes out on DVD again May 4th.
