The video is available on YouTube. Aaron Koblin is a big fan of Interpol and wanted to create a video based on the art he likes to create. When he talked with his production company Blip, they were on board. Blip spoke about working with Aaron on this music video. "This song was not specifically intended for broadcast, but...[as] an art piece that would live and grow primarily online."
The abstract video maps out life from the cellular level, all the way to the solar system and back again. When Blip spoke about Aaron bringing this inspiration to life, they said they found Aaron Koblin "through his data mapping project that used FAA data of flights in air to create these beautiful patterns of light." Blip also spoke about how the project was challenging in the ways of communication. Because the process Aaron uses is intricate and more complicated than can be assumed, Blip had only words to help guide them through during a large duration of the development for the video. "Also because the programming was so complex, once it was rendered, tweaks were not easy to implement as the basic programming that created it would be very hard to change." In the end, everything coalesced to form the visual art piece for Interpol's song "Rest My Chemistry". The video can be seen on YouTube now. |

"Rest My Chemistry" is the latest video creation from Interpol. The video is more of a visual art piece than anything else. Aaron Koblin, the visual artist for the song, wanted to merge the lyrics with life - going from cells to person to city to world to space, etc.
