Strange Wilderness is the product of Adam Sandler's production company, Happy Madison Productions, and features many familiar faces from the Sandler family, including Allen Covert and Peter Dante. The movie also features many well-known comedic actors such as Kevin Heffernan, Jonah Hill and Justin Long.

Strange Wilderness was hailed by critics as one of the worst movies of 2008, but it is definitely not. This film is chock full of hilarious actors, quirky sub-plots and witty dialogues.

However, keeping that in mind, the Special Features are funnier than the movie itself. The "What Do We Do?" feature shows a behind-the-scenes look of the film. Standouts include Jonah Hill and Justin Long improvising their dialogue during a scene where the "Strange Wilderness" crew is supposed to be brainstorming new ideas in order to improve the show. The episode of "Reel Comedy" also gives excellent, and very entertaining, insight about the making of Strange Wilderness, featuring side-splitting interviews with the cast.
