Richie Rich Scooby-Doo DVD
Rated: G
This animated power-hour pairs two of Hanna-Barbera's most beloved characters: Richie Rich and Scooby-Doo. Richie Rich has enough cash to swim laps in and a mansion filled with mind-boggling gadgets--not least his robotic maid Irona! His extravagant lifestyle may inspire envy but his good nature and daring--not to mention all that sparkling gold--make him the child every kid wants to be.

Along with his faithful dog Dollar Richie's bulging bankroll gets him in plenty of exciting adventures. Meanwhile Scooby-Doo is sure to get into some comic hijinks of his own--especially if it means a Scooby Snack! Along with cohorts Shaggy and Scrappy, Scooby boards the amazing Mystery Machine to solve his share of spooky mysteries. This first volume presents seven episodes of the 1980s cartoon grab-bag.

There may not be many DVD features to speak of on this set (The Story of Richie Rich is the only one), but the prize is in the classic cartoons featured throughout both discs. These fun episodes are perfect for fans of the Scoobster. Richie Rich and Scooby take turns back and forth between each episode. The Scooby-Doo episodes do not include Velma, Daphne or Fred, but it is fun to watch Scooby, with Shaggy and Scrappy, take on ghouls and ghosties all on their own for a change.

The featured selections of Scooby-Doo goodness are reminiscent of the classic series, minus a few characters. There is nothing better to relax the mind than a few good Scooby-Doo cartoon episodes! You may be thinking "why only seven episodes." Keep in mind, each episode on the disc is one hour long, so it isn't as few as you think.

Final Analysis: If you are a fan you have to get this set! if you have little ones -- they will LOVE it! Keep in mind, these aren't on the tele anymore...this is the only way you'll be able to grab a view of these classics.
