Set for release June 24th, Marigolds, the debut album by Ryan Auffenberg, is an enchanting mix of poetic lyrics and ethereal rhythms that reveals to the listener the beauty of music when seen introspectively. This 10-song CD from Evangeline Records induces a myriad of emotions from the depths of despair to the heights of hope, with tunes that articulate some very real human experiences.
The lyrical quality is what truly makes Marigolds a success. The song, "Curtain Call", is about a close friend that ends up having a nervous breakdown after coming to the realization that life after college wasn't what he expected. Other successful tracks on the album include "Marigolds", "Undercover" and "Half Forgotten Love". Gem of the Album: Curtain Call...the song is just absolutely marvelous.
