Based in Brooklyn, I Am The Heat is a combination of varied artists with a montage of backgrounds. In 2005, Anthony Dines, Jameson Edwards and Mike Horaz combined forces to create their personal, unique and upbeat sound. The Future Doesn’t Need Us is an energetic display of indie pop-rock. I Am The Heat produces a rapid flow of beats that provide the driving force of their sound. Their vocals have the same rapid excitement as the music, but are overshadowed by the intense hyper resonance of the instruments. This style is off-balanced by their softer, more laid-back tracks, such as, “Tonight (And I’ll Save You)", which eventually ends up shifting into the fast-paced tune that brings I Am The Heat’s music through their continually rising reputation.
