: Edgar Wright Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is a good cop that makes other cops look bad. His arrest rate is well over 400% higher than any other officer in London, partially because of his inability to switch off. He is sent away by his fellow London colleagues to a seemingly more peaceful, country oasis so they may rid themselves of their own performance-related embarrassment. After arriving in Sanford, Angel quickly finds himself in the midst of something much more disturbing than anything he'd ever seen on London streets—the greater good...

Image For those that enjoyed this production team's previous farce Shawn of the Dead, this will be an even greater delight. There are more laughs, more jumpy bits and some fantastic slices of goo and gore sprinkled in. If you have had a bad day at work, or at home, this film is sure to relieve that pressure weighing in on your temples.

The movie is cut perfectly between scenes. One minute you are laughing tears from your eyes and literally the next second you are jumping from your seat. You don't see these jump-in-your-face moments coming, and that is what makes them so much fun! This is definitely one of the best blends of comedy and thrills I have seen in one production.

For those fans of butchery and blood - they didn't leave you out in this one either (although I am happy to say they generously spared the audience from any forced plot-romance). There are a few (not too many) gory bits throughout the latter half of the production—just enough to satisfy those homicidal urges—with at least two very distinct scenes where the viewer has no other option than to let out a big "Whoa".

The editors of this mad puppy used a great blend of sound effects and spot-on timing. The actors were fabulous. Pegg and Frost were particularly bang-up. Is this something you should go and see before it comes out on video? Decidedly - yarp.
