Swedish-raised Theresa Andersson brings a completely new dimension to her music with Hummingbird, Go!. The entire album was recorded in her very own kitchen. No lie! She used everyday items, like soda pop bottles, for a vibraphone in her song "The Waltz", to create a unique sound and style.
The album is about nature and life, using metaphorical lyrics of birds, trees, and other naturally grounded entities to describe life and how we should live out our lives. Theresa Andersson spoke about how she created Humming Bird, Go!, saying, "I stopped thinking in terms of traditional songwriting. I worked on shapes, forms, textures, scents and colors. Elements which are more earthy and organic inspired me."Each song is inspirational, with a new twist in style added, raising the caliber of music on this distinctive album. By performing all of the instruments herself on Hummingbird, Go!, Andersson adds yet more flavor and uniqueness that can only be applauded. This album is truly a work of art. Songs to listen to: Birds Fly Away, Hummingbird, Go!, Japanese Art, The Waltz
