Weezer is going on a five-week tour across the states, starting September 23 at the Tsongas Center in Boston. It has been three years since the band last toured, and fans are ready.
Angels and Airwaves and Tokyo Police Club will be opening up Weezer's tour. Singer and guitarist Tom Delonge of Angels and Airwaves says, "The Weezer tour is an amazing event, not only for us as a band, but it's going to be the best tour of the year for fans. We're excited to be a part of it." Lead singer Rivers Cuomo had an idea to create "Hootenannys", where hand-picked fans bring their instruments to unusual places, and the audience and the band become one, jamming to Weezer classics and covers.
