Version covers a vast line of familiar pop songs including Britney Spears' "Toxic" and Coldplay's "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face". Ronson gives each of the songs a jazz-style makeover, with big band sounds, melting together with modern hip-hop and British pop. Ronson showcases some of the best talent in popular music on this album, such as Amy Winehouse, Phantom Planet and British superstar, Robbie Williams. The album introduces a fresh sound to pop music, comparable to the sounds of Christina Aguilera's latest work, which Ronson just so happened to have a hand in creating as well. Ronson has been busy producing and recording new music for Allido records and will be releasing a compilation of tracks designed for Hard Rock Hotels and Casinos on May 22nd. Ronson is on his way to becoming one of music's most recognizable producers. His unique sound can already be heard on the airwaves by such artists as Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen. Version is a solid introduction into the signature sound of Ronson and a promising start to his long career ahead. Full length downloads of Version are available on the UK iTunes right now, while the hit single "Stop Me" can be found on the US iTunes server.

Mark Ronson made his name in the early nineties as a popular DJ in New York's club scene. The UK born DJ has since established a solid career as a record producer, teaming up with his manager, Rich Kleiman to create Allido Records. Allido is responsible for housing Ronson's sophomore album, Version. The first single off the album, "Stop Me", features up and coming Australian vocalist, Daniel Merriweather. The song has been steadily climbing up British pop charts and is finding success on iTunes as well.
