Rated: R
Starring: Katherine Heigl, Seth Rogan, Paul Rudd
Directed by: Judd Apatow
Director Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin) has birthed another great comedy with Knocked Up. Heigl plays Alison Scott, a rising star in television journalism who has a drunken one-night tryst with lovable slacker Ben Stone (Seth Rogan), resulting in an unexpected bundle of joy.
After sharing little more than multiple shots of alcohol,
the young, seemingly mismatched couple, are now struggling with the unknown and
somewhat terrifying prospects of parenthood. Alison worries about the effects
the unexpected pregnancy will have on her burgeoning career, while the
unemployed Ben worries about how he will support a child when he is still very
much one himself.
Heigl and Stone share great comedic chemistry and make an
adorable, albeit awkward couple, but it is the movie’s supporting actors that make this
film a stand-out among other comedies.
Ben’s stoner friends and Alison’s
neurotic, control-freak sister and brow-beaten husband provide good fodder for
what might otherwise have turned out to be just another accidental pregnancy
comedy. This film works because of the ensemble cast of dysfunctional
characters who keep the story from dragging with their quick-witted and snappy
dialogue.
With toilet humor, and some rather graphic birth scenes,
prepare yourself for some gross-out moments that only serve to make the movie
that much more memorable and hilarious. Overall, Knocked Up delivers … in more
ways than imaginable.

Thanks you! smptgmkdfeq Today I saw the previews for this on the television. It looks to be quite comical. Not sure if I'll get to catch it in the theater, but I may just have to try to have a good laugh and relax abit.
