Former Motley Crue bassist, Nikki Sixx, will soon share with the world a book about his struggle with heroin addiction that is being published by MTV/VH1 in partnership with Pocket Books.
The book is composed of his diary entries and other commentary from the people that were around him the most during the late 80s. In addition to the book, Sixx has recorded a soundtrack that will be sold with it. "Life is Beautiful", the first single being released from the soundtrack, already has its own video and is currently being aired on many rock radio stations nation-wide.
Because the content of the soundtrack is more of an unfolding tale of
drug addiction, as opposed to a typical written-for-radio rock album,
it is being compared to albums like The Who’s Tommy and Pink Floyd’s The Wall. For more details on Nikki’s Sixx’s The Heroin Diaries click here or visit his MySpace.
