The slapstick duo, Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, are back again for the third installment of the Rush Hour theatrical production series. First, let me start by saying, this movie is not around because of its great storylines. If you are going to see this film, and expecting to see a well thought out masterpiece, it won't happen.
That said, the laughs and interaction between Tucker and Chan are hilarious, so much so, most people won't care too much about the lacking validity of the story itself. And of course, there is the great action sequences to keep everyone entertained as well. Rush Hour 3 is very much a fun romp, full of laughs, car chases, fight scenes and great stunts. As long as you don't try to analyze the plot you'll be OK. There are a few old jokes freshened up for the new movie. I think these are all used up, however. Hopefully, if there ever is another new installment of this filmic ride, those particular lines will be retired... Synopsis: In the heart of Paris lies a deadly secret. Half a world away in Los Angeles, Ambassador Han is about to disclose it. In his possession is explosive new evidence about the inner workings of the Triads—the most powerful and notorious crime syndicate in the world. The Ambassador has discovered the identity of Shy Shen, the very crux of the wide-ranging crime ring, and he's about to reveal it to the World Criminal Court—until he is silenced by an assassin's bullet. The Triads will go to any lengths to make sure their secrets stay buried, and there's only one hope for stopping them. You guessed it—LAPD Detective Carter (Tucker) and Chinese Inspector Lee (Chan). |
