An announcement was made in Tokyo, Japan, stating that some of the best and most renowned Japanese game developers are on board to create an unprecedented lineup of holiday hits and exclusives for Microsoft's Xbox 360 games and entertainment system. Tomonobu Itagaki from NINJA/Tecmo Ltd., and Hironobu Sakaguchi from Mistwalker, two of the most distinguished Japanese video game developers, have given their support in helping to create new games specifically for the Xbox 360 franchise. So what kind of games can be expected to launch later this year and in 2008?
Halo 3- This is a highly anticipated game, where people across the globe get to take on the role of Master Chief and experience his greatest battle when he sets forth on an ambitious mission to stop the Covenant, and the approaching Flood threat which would ultimately save humankind. Halo 3 will be available to buy on September 25 in the US and in Japan on September 27. Assassin's Creed- Developed by Ubisoft, Assassin's Creed merges technology with game design, theme and emotions into an unmitigated world of Altair. Gamers have the ability to throw this cyber-world into absolute and utter chaos and experience the life and art of a master assassin. Available this November. Lost Odyssey- This is a game of role-playing, and the story behind the game is by Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of the Final Fantasy franchise. Lost Odyssey will be available December 6 in Japan and will be offered worldwide in early 2008. Ninja Gaiden 2- This is the highly anticipated sequel to the platinum-selling Xbox original. Players guide ninja hero Ryu Hayabusa on a quest to avenge his clan and make sure that the human race doesn't wither out of existence. This game is exclusive to Xbox 360 and will be available worldwide in 2008. Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation- AC 6 takes gamers in the sky, into one of the most realistic air combats created. The game has next-generation audio and visual effects with the option of being online with multiple players. Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation will be available to buy this holiday season. Beautiful Katamari- This is the fourth installment of the Katamari series and features levels of eccentric cosmic animations with music stylings never before heard. Beautiful Katamari will be available to own this October. More games to look out for in the upcoming months include: Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlestations: Midway, Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War, CASTLE SHIKIGAMI III, Dynasty Warriors 6, Warriors: Gundam, Final Fantasy XI Wings of the Goddess, Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom, KUF: COD, Project Gotham Racing 4, Viva Pinata: Party Animals, and so many others.
