A few weeks ago we invited everyone to participate in various reader projects. Many people sent in poetry submissions. The response was fantastic! Please check out these fabulous entries sent in by your peers! Poem topics range from the holidays, mothers, reflections, frowns and more.

Why Frown? Life is full of ups and downs It may seem hard but Why frown? Relationships may crumble But there will be more Why frown ? ~Reflections of Reality~ I stand, one with the horizon, images before me - smooth polished water But... Which is reflection? Which is reality? I look up into that which is supposed to be sky I look down into that which is supposed to be water Images are the same Yet... reversed Trees stretch up Trees reach down Pictures of clouds floating Pictures of birds soaring I reach up All is out of my reach The wind taunts me blowing on my readied fingers For I have no wings No current will lift me I bow my head A rippling image before me One foot steps out An image of diving trees, floating clouds, soaring birds rushes at me And... This Christmas This Christmas, I ask you, Please give me no toys No candy-filled stockings The usual noise No presents, no tinsel No paper and bows No cookies, no candies No perfume of rose I need no more gadgets Nor CDs galore Please stop with this madness I can take it no more! This year I want quiet What’s so wrong with that?
