Naughty or nice Readers from all over the world participated in our naughty and nice project where we asked visitors if "Santa" would consider them naughty or nice for 2006.  Check out some of the responses below!

Both Danish Hussain One bad thing I did was that I got detention at school. One good thing I did was that I got chosen as a student counselor.
Both Kanchan Joshi The one bad thing that I have done is that I tell my secrets to everyone and they all teased me.......the good thing that i have done is that I always help my friends whenever they want me in their time of need........
Both Annie I've been both this year. I've done good work for charity, I've started supporting my mother, and I saved a three-legged golden retriever from euthanasia. I have also been naughty. I put fake fish in my daughter's bed to scare her. I woke one child up by threatening them with ice. I refused to give up coffee.  I have to confess that I also gloated when I won at Scene It. Over all I have been very good and deserve loads of presents under the tree.  I especially could use a refill on my Starbucks gift card.
Both Calyssa Johnson One good thing I did was help little kids at the elementry school and one bad thing is I argue with my sisters A LOT.
Naughty Jessica I have a bad habbit of terrorizing my brother all the time.
Naughty Zaria Rampaul-Essue Ok so I'm on Santa's bad side this year... well actually most of my class is.  Here's how we got there...this is really bad of us. I have a teacher and he smells really bad—I mean really, really bad. We can't avoid him because we see him every day, he's everywhere in the school. None of our other teachers would talk to him about it so we decided to take matters into our own hands. A holiday (I think Valentines) was coming up so we gave him a gift. The gift was a power mint and a bar of soap wrapped in some gift paper.  It was supposed to be a hint to him. We thought he'd get it and be thankful someone told him about it but we were wrong. We got into a lot of trouble and we realized we probably should have found a better way to hint that he smells bad...
Naughty Eme Uve Eme No matter what a nice girl I try to be year after year, I’m starting to wonder if I didn’t perpetually land on Santa’s bad side the day I felt nervous and vomited on him.  My mum had been telling me all week that we would go to see Santa on Saturday. By Friday I was so excited that I couldn’t even sleep. When the moment finally arrived, there I was, a four year-old girl with a week of pent up excitement, and there HE was, all huge and bearded and…Santa. So, the moment he sat me on his lap and smiled, it was just too much for little me. The pressure got me, and…well, I threw all the pressure up. Literally.  Twenty years later, I’m still waiting for that puppy (no wonder!).
Naughty Aashna Bisht As we all know that Christmas is knocking at the door and Santa's list is ready, I very well know that I am a naughty one. After breaking my aunt's window, bullying 2 girls with my friends and playing pranks with many I don't think my name will be on a goodies list.
Naughty   Well I ended up on Santa's naughty list when I was snogging my boyfriend at my friend's house and my friend's mom walked in on us! We were so embarrassed we went outside and made-out some more!
Naughty Shinelle West I snuck off to the mall with my friends when I told my father I was going to the library.
Naughty Stacey-Ann Burke People teased a fat girl who was talking about a boy who doesn't like her because she is so fat, and its all my fault 'cause I started it.  I heard she was crying in the bathroom. I didn't mean to hurt her.
Naughty Ariel Greenspoon The one bad thing I did this past year was purposely fall into the actor John Malkovich when I was in NYC.
Nice Tinne Roelens I think I will be on Santa's good list. I don't think I've done many bad things over the last year, maybe just that I sometimes spend a little too much money. I think I've been a very good girl, as I graduated from college this summer and I now have a bachelor's degree.
Nice Laura I was on my way home from school and their was an old lady in front of me.  She suddenly fell so I ran up to her and helped her up and picked up all her bags and walked her home....now how nice can I get eh?
Nice Whitney Aisling Eagle

This is a "Nice" story, although it needs a bit of explaining. I understand if you don't want to put it in the magazine because it sounds a little obscure, but strangely enough the memory of it always gives me a warm fuzzy feeling and I wanted to spread that around if I could. So here goes: My name is Whitney. My friend Marley (named after Bob) and I study Communications at the University of Western Sydney, Australia. We recently completed a Screenwriting unit this year. What has to be explained is that I am a Film Major and Marley is a Journalism Major. Don't get me wrong, Marley is a fantastic writer of both factual articles and creative stories, but she just wasn't getting over the hurdle of writing scripts as easily as I was. I chose to take Screenwriting because it's what I want to do for a living; She had chosen it because she loves to try new things and be challenged. Unfortunately, this was a challenge that she was finding hard to overcome. One day, we're at my house, each working on our major Screenwriting assignment- a complete five minute script worth a whopping 65% of our total mark.

Marley admitted she just couldn't seem to adopt the style of visual writing needed to create a script. She kept reverting to a literary style that works great on the page, but not on film. She was becoming very frustrated and worried that she wouldn't be able to pull it off and get the marks needed to get into Honours Year (another challenge that we had both set for ourselves). So here I am, looking at my best mate, who's on the verge of going slightly to pieces. It was killing me as much as it was killing her. But I knew what I had to do, as much as it was going to pain me to do it. I had to take the "cruel to be kind" approach. I looked her right in the eye and said: "Marley, you're my best friend and that's why I'm telling you, *deep breath* change how you're writing or you're going to get a bad mark". I'm not a fan of using shock tactics, and I especially don't like using them on my dearest friends, so doing this gave me a horrible, sickening feeling.

For a split second after I said it, I thought she was going to get angry and start yelling at me. But she just stared right back at me, looking very serious and saying nothing (and Marley is a very light and bubbly person, so this was freaking me out a little). Then, she just said: "Thanks. I needed to hear that", and got back to work. Marley walked away from that unit with one of the highest marks in the class and excellent praise from our tutor. Along with that warm fuzzy feeling, I still get a little queasy when I think about what I said to her and the look it put on her face. But now she's back to her old self and she probably couldn't stop smiling if she tried, so it was totally worth it.

Nice Tian Kendall One good thing that I did was donating food to the food bank.
Nice Jasmine Kandoria I collected money for the Christingle collection from the church.
Nice Ally Guillemette I've been Very Nice. This year at school I won the award for the biggest heart. I can't stand to see anyone cry/hurt/ or being bullied, so I took charge and stood up for all the little kids when they were being bullied, making sure they were okay when they were hurt, and became the shoulder they needed to cry on. I also volunteered with the Alzheimer's society and collected donations.
Nice Johandra Delgado My mom is constantly making me clean out my closet. Actually, she cleans it out for me and she makes me pick what I want to keep and what I want to donate to Goodwill or hand down to my little cousin. I can never pick out what I want to keep. But this year, I decided for a change because I have too much stuff and extra clothes I've never even worn. I decided to donate a lot of clothes. I ended up donating half of my wardrobe! I donated stuff that I don't like anymore, stuff that doesn't fit me, and stuff that I just don't want. Half of that, the really good stuff, went to my little cousin Lesly. The other half went to the Goodwill. And I still have tons of stuff in my closet!
Nice   At school one day I got a reward to get a free sandwich and a free drink. After school that day we were going to Wal-Mart to get some groceries. On our way there we saw this man standing on the sidewalk. He had bed hair. His clothes looked really old. He was holding a sign that said, "I will work for money". We decided to stop at the gas station that was next to him and I gave him the free lunch ticket to Big Boys!
Nice Debbie Raios Hey I believe that I was actually nice this year because I was a very happy person and I also did well in school with my marks.
Nice Sharon I would be on Santa's good list because I helped orphans obtain food and healthcare.
Nice Isabelle Schamberg I'm definitely on Santa's 'Good' List because I collected 100€ to donate to a charitable organisation in Duesseldorf, Germany.
Nice Ran Fujimiya Ok, this is a little hard, but I'll answer it nonetheless. I'd be on the nice list. The reason why, is because I've tried helping a friend of mine who had gone through a hard time. One of her parents isn't that healthy anymore and was sent to the hospital. My friend dropped school just to help her parents at home. I've tried to give her advices and let her think that there would be a day for her that she'll be happy when she'd continue to think optimistic. I really do hope that everything is going to be allright now.
Nice Lisa Katz i have been very good this year I never got in trouble in school.  I was a good a student too.
Nice Adrian Blount I went out shopping for awesome clothes for my birthday and decided why not donate money to send medicine for AIDS victims in Africa? I stopped by GAP and bought an Inspi(RED) red T. Although it was costly($32), it was so worth it because I know that I attributed in some way to help fight the AIDS problem. IM ON SANTAS GOOD LIST!
Nice Tiffany C To get on Santa's good list this year, I must say it wasn't too hard.  Trust me when I say, all I had to do to make the cut was visit DanRadcliffe.com... who can object that?
Nice Roberta Grech Something nice - I helped a friend who was in a difficult situation and I helped her to choose the right way to get out of it.
Nice Hamna Haqqi I should be on the nice list, I definitely should. "Why?" u ask? Cuz I'm the most angelic person you could meet. *angel face*  I help people (fight other people). I listen to people. I love my parents. I take care of my friends. So you can see, I'm definitely going to be on the GOOD list.
Nice Kellie Gilbert Have I been naughty or nice? Well, let's look at what I've done over this past year. Throughout the year, I've made new friends practically everywhere I've gone. I've also baked Christmas cookies for my new friends these past few weeks, and they've enjoyed those a lot...so I guess I'm a pretty good cook. I also brought back presents for a few of my friends when I went on a trip this summer. So as far as I know, I've been pretty nice this year. Of course there's probably something bad I've done this year, because after all, nobody's perfect!
Nice Alicia Glass This year, one thing that has earned me a spot on the nice list is that I've been nicer to the people around me and have gotten involved more in my community. I've done band concerts at nursing homes, plays for church and younger children.
Nice Elizabeth McKillop The best thing that I did this year to land on Santa's good list was make new friends and talk to people who nobody else does.
Nice Lauren I was ever so good this year - I took my daughter all the way to Edinburgh, to see Driving Lessons at the Film Festival, because she was too young to seee it in the Real World.
