With the help of MTV2's Dew Circuit Breakout, Halifax, Hellogoodby, Yellowcard, Taking Back Sunday and Hawthorne Heights made it to the big time.

This year's batch of bands are sure to be a hit! They've been taken down from twelve bands to six. These top six had MTV crews visit their hometown and film the them while they were performing.

Sounds Like: Catherine Wheel, Radiohead

• The Smyrk

From: New Haven , CT

Sounds Like: Incubus, Foo Fighters

• Them Terribles

From: Santa Barbara , CA

Sounds Like: The Hives, The Strokes

The top three bands will fly to New York City for the Dew Circuit Breakout Finale live from Times Square. The winner will be announced at the Finale and will perform again at the end of the show, the performance filmed as their first MTV music video.
