Artist: Serena Ryder
Canada native Serena Ryder, 24, is a world-traveled music artist to be envied. She offers herself in the words of her songs, singing of things everyone can relate to. For those who come across Serena's work and love it, they often talk to her, telling her their stories, and what her songs mean to them. "My fans are awesome. They tend to be quite grounded and unique...I love having time to hear their stories. God only knows they hear mine enough." With an innocent voice that is distinct from the rest, clearly and solely her own, Serena Ryder captivates and enthralls through her five-song EP, Told you in a Whispered Song. "I'm really into having a very direct, really organic sound," she says. And this is exactly what she gives, in all of her songs. For someone so young in this business, she's got her head in the right place. Her down-to-earth nature is mesmerizing throughout this compilation. Serena's voice is the forefront in all of the tracks, keeping anyone who listens in rapt attention. Told you in a Whispered Song is an EP not to be missed. |
