Artist: Gorillaz 2D, Murdoc, Noodle, and Russel are back with this follow-up to their immensely popular G-Sides, a collection of B-sides and rarities from their first album. Gorillaz. D-Sides is the perfect addition to a fan"s collection.
It is a two-disc set containing the original and off-kilter sound of Gorillaz, with their unique version of music which manages to meld a classical feel with alternative rock, topping it off with a techno beat that makes this album the perfect party soundtrack. The eerily transcendental sound of their music draws you into the powerful techno beat, bringing you into a state of rhythmic ardor. The ominous performance and the ethereal singing throughout the album almost throw you into a trance-like state of musical fervor. The album’s booklet includes a variety of well-drawn and comical renditions of the band, my favorite being a picture of them all in hospital beds where it tells what illnesses they suffer from, which ends in Noodle’s problem of “Saucepan on Head.” A special edition of D-Sides will be available in a debossed glossy dual box, and will include two exclusive Jamie Hewlett prints, a collection of Gorillaz badges, stickers and a “Choose Pazazu” patch. The Track listing will be the same as the standard edition. |
