supernatural_xmas2007.jpgIt's a holly jolly holiday season with the Winchester boys. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are on the trail of an "anti-Santa" who snatches up unsuspecting individuals after they buy a special Christmas wreath made with love by a small town's devil deity.

Sam soon discovers pagan roots associated with a more-than-perfect "Mr. and Mrs. Claus", along with a certain ritualistic murder technique where victims are pulled up through the chimney—with care.

When the boys do go gunning for the "anti-Santa", they become part of the holiday ritual...after all, it is the giving season—why not give part of themselves.... Ho Ho—ouch! Although, I am not sure I'd like that kind of piece from either of them...

Maybe a little something in the buff though...

Throughout the episode Dean wants to celebrate Christmas the old fashioned way as this is his last, but Sam refuses. Sam doesn't want to accept that Dean won’t be around next year, and he never really had a very Merry Christmas growing up—well that was his reckoning anyway.

Periodically throughout the show Sam flashes back to a specific Christmas when he waited for his father to come home to give him a special gift, but it wasn't his father the gift was really meant for in the end...his closing memory from that point in time leads him to the real magic behind the holiday season.

In summary: There are some nail-biting, tree-hugging moments in this one—and you really don't want to miss the death-by-Christmas-tree...very cool.

A Very Supernatural Christmas airs this Thursday on the CW at 9 p.m. ET.
