The National Screen Institute (NSI) will be hosting the world premiere of five short films in Canada. The screening begins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 29, at the Globe Cinema in Winnipeg. This is a free screening, so anyone in the area is encouraged to attend. Filmmakers will attend to answer audience questions. The productions were recently completed through the NSI Drama Prize training program. Joy Loewen, NSI Drama Prize Program Manager, says, "We are so proud to present the world premiere screening of these talented filmmakers' films. But we know this is just their first stop. The diverse mix of these professionally produced projects will find appreciative audiences in cities across the country and around the world." SnowScreen is coming back for its 7th year on Saturday, March 1 at The Forks Market at 7:00 p.m. in Winnipeg. SnowScreen is free, family-friendly, and an event featuring animation from the National Film Board of Canada shown outdoors on a movie screen carved from snow. |
