Rated: NR The third season of Girlfriends brings back four sistahs hell bent on living and loving in Los Angeles. Joan"s never-ending quest for Mr. Right continues. In this season she finds some new creative ways to meet men, gets in shape, and meets a rising movie star. But as the series continues, will Joan"s obsession with marriage continue to ruin all of her relationships? Can she finally let go, and be happy as a single, successful woman?
At
the end of season two, Maya’s infidelity gets blown out of the water.
Season three begins with her disgruntled ex-husband (Darnell) punishing her
for her mistakes. She tries just about anything to convince him of her
love, but is it too little too late? Can she put her broken marriage back together, or will she be forced into single mother status?
The diva of the bunch, Toni, is back and desperately seeking drama as usual. Season three sees her fall in love, and this time with someone other than herself.
Toni meets her match, but can she look past all of his flaws? Will she
throw away her chance at happily ever after because of a few
shortcomings?
The
last of the foursome, Lynn, continues her journey to discovery in
season three. Her character, known for odd jobs and even stranger men,
develops a lot more. Lynn is more than a crazy, eclectic bohemian. This time around we learn about her roots, her desires, and watch as she
uncovers some deep, dark secrets.
Girlfriends is an interesting look at the lives of four African-American women hell-bent on carving out their own slice of American Pie.
Joan, Toni, Maya and Lynn all have their own issues, but they are lucky
enough to have close friends to share them with. When the going
gets tough, honorary Girlfriend William Dent offers his male
perspective and witty commentary to keep the show moving.
This DVD
collection comes with bonus features that a true fan cannot afford
to miss. Go out and get Girlfriends Season 3 while you still can!
