Critique:

Don't let the title or the tagline fool you—Death at a Funeral is hilarious! This movie was seriously under represented, sporting some of the best original comedy that I have seen in a good while. It's the kind of production you watch and then quickly tell all of your friends about.

Tudyk was frothing mad and funny to the point of tears. The entire ensemble fit together like an air-tight puzzle. Peter Vaughn honed in on his character with precision, bringing a "streak" of humorous senility to the mix that ends the movie with a high topping snort.

The story itself is a fresh compilation of drama, comedy, real-world issues and a few...did I mention there are midgets? Well, there is one—and he's not in the circus...although...some of the things he did might merit an audition. Hah!

I really don't want to tell you anything much about the plot because it is so intricate, anything I say will spoil the surprise(s). The extras on the disc are fabulous. A wonderful addition to the feature film—the gag reel being just as funny as the production itself.

Final Analysis: If you like a little dark laughter with your drama—mostly laughter—this film will have you in stitches. Just goes to show you...things aren't always as they seem. This film is one of them—the best kept comedic secret of 2007!
