Voegele's Don't Look Away, which is as mainstream and cliche as an album can get, is sure to find an audience, but not because it has a brilliant new sound or fresh clever lyrics; in fact, it has neither. If you have ever listened to guitar-and-occasionally-piano-based pop before, you already know what this album sounds like. It's not necessarily a bad thing for a musician to sound familiar, but there is nothing novel about Voegele's music. Save your money for the next singer to come along and do it better.

Maybe you've seen Kate Voegele around recently. She did, after all, recently begin a stint on One Tree Hill as pop singer Mia; she even sings some of her own songs on the show. As such, you might even be familiar with her music. If so, then you've probably already found it trite and unoriginal, as well.
