Last Sunday night we did Dragonette with Class Actress at Brooklyn Bowl. Kylie Minogue was there bowling, which sparked a flurry of excited tweets over her presence. It was also pouring out, but nasty weather aside, we had one of the best nights of the week and we have a Canadian three-piece to thank for it. More after the jump ...

Now on Blu-ray HD, Tombstone, which was originally released in theatres in 1993, becomes an event rather than just a DVD.  The film features great cinematography that lends to the action and drama of this very good western.  The remarkable picture showing the old west in all its glory and gore is definitely worth a watch.

Nutty, quirky, silly, you can even call it ‘squirrelly’ Furry Vengeance. It is a great kid’s film all the way.  The movie cruises along at a fair clip with a lot of pratfalls, blunders and humiliating situations, providing comedy that kids just love to watch.  If you have youngsters between the age of 5 and 10, then start your engines and head out to see Furry Vengeance.

Well they remade another horror flick and this time it’s Nightmare on Elm Street.  Since the advent of CGI it’s been a scare fest of returns like Jason, Michael Meyers, Leatherface, Amityville and more. But, this Nightmare is a welcome rehash as it provides more of the story of why Freddy is invading the dreams of teens on the forsaken street.

Stan Lee will be launching the LA Rock'n Comic-Con May 28 - 30 in Pasadena, CA. This Con supports the Arts, Animation, Music, the Film Industries and their creative talents. Star Wars is waging its own Attack of the Show! all week long on the popular G4 television series. The show's EPIC month is full of stunts, giveaways and exclusives -- so of course Star Wars had to be added for some serious inter-galactic action -- all this week!

Canadian synthpop smash Dragonette are playing with super amazing Class Actress (fronted by Elizabeth Harper) at Brooklyn Bowl tonight. These three things make for a night pretty much made entirely of WIN. What's better than bowling at one of the newest and best alleys in the city, then catching a super-charged show with two acts in the business of making you sweat and dance out of your cheap hipster clothes? It doesn’t seem possible that Armageddon can be more explosive than in theatres, but seeing it on Blu-ray comes close.  I was totally blown away with the detail, color and picture quality that this movie delivers in a home setting.  The movie is a classic with an all-star dream cast, imaginative storyline and awesome special effects/CGI.

Last night we did ArpLine at Death by Audio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Well, first we did Williamsburger just down a piece, where one of the most magnificent five-dollar vanilla shakes can be had, and thoroughly enjoyed (so thick and rich ... just heavenly), but that's neither here nor there.
