The fifth Predator film has come to town, and this one goes all out to please the action junkie.  Predators slides in at second best of the series, just below the original.  The actors, direction and cinematography are all in sync, and the simple storyline does entertain.  If you are looking to see copious amounts of gratuitous violence then search out the movie Predators, it’s a non-stop blood bath.

Computer generated animation goes to new heights with Despicable Me, providing a crisp, well-lighted 3D that’s equal to Toy Story 3.  The storyline in the film is not new, but all the wonderful characters are, and that’s what makes Despicable Me a winner.  The family-oriented feature plays to all levels, with adults getting an equal share along with the kiddies, so you can bring the whole brood to this one.

The soft spoken Jonah Hill leads a stellar cast in the film Cyrus, a bizarre yet touching film that turns romance on its ear.  I found the film to be very amusing and well acted.  If you like your romance with an odd twist, then this film is ready for your date night.

Nvinium Games Inc, a social entertainment and gaming network, announced the first details for Space Empires: Battle for Supremacy, a casual Facebook game based on the popular Space Empires franchise from Strategy First. Launching on Facebook July 27, 2010, this latest edition to the Space Empires series is a journey through the galactic wars, striving for peace while players discover new planets, expand their empire and explore the entire galaxy!

Nickelback kicked off 2010 by performing at the Closing Ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics, and is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. To their fans' delight, they have extended their Dark Horse World Tour. The next leg of the tour, produced by Live Nation, will begin on September 14 in Nashville and will run through October 30 in Las Vegas. As season two of the popular television series Merlin comes to a close, fans can look forward to some insights to season two, as well as some hints to what is coming in season three, thanks to Angel Coulby, who plays Arthur's Guinevere.  

Philly-based band Free Energy was launched on AOL Spinner’s “The Interface” today with videos featuring studio performances of songs off their critically acclaimed debut album Stuck On Nothing. Hailed as a perfect throwback to that good old rock n’ roll sound with fantastic riffs and melodious hooks, Free Energy has studiously been compared to 70s rock gurus, such as Journey and Iggy and The Stooges, almost from the moment of their inception.

Here’s a gem of a film filled with love, deception and honor, coated with extremely good acting, impeccable direction and picturesque cinematography.  I Am Love captivated me quickly, and held my attention through to its startling ending.  If you like romance novels with a twist, I Am Love is sure to please you.

Finally, a Twilight film that really fits the Horror genre, and showcases some fine talent that has hit theatres. I have to admit that although I am not a huge fan of the movie series, Twilight: The Eclipse provides the thrills, chills and lustful romance that are devoid in the previous two attempts.  My hat is off to David Slade for finally giving at least one of the Stephenie Meyer novels some justice.

This is one flick I missed in theatres, but am happy to find it on DVD.  It’s called Pretty Bird, and has a great cast, interesting storyline and admirable direction.  The only thing lacking on the disc is any significant bonus features.
