Seems that Demi Moore likes more than just her men young! The 49 year-old actress was hospitalized Monday after inhaling nitrous oxide.
Nitrous oxide, found in many household products such as hair spray and whipped-cream cans (hence the street name for the drug, whippets), is often associated with a (much) younger generation. Since the drug is cheap and easily accessible, it is popular among middle and high-school age users. Intoxication lasts a few minutes at most, and is known to feel like an extreme drunk.
So with three beautiful daughters, a smokin’ hot body, and a movie repertoire boasting hits such as Ghost and G.I. Jane, why has Demi resorted to the young drug of huffing? Perhaps it has something to with her split from young Hollywood hubby, Ashton Kutcher. The two filed for divorce last November, on allegations of Kutcher’s unfaithfulness. Kutcher was reported carousing with 23-year-old Sara Leal last year.
The emergency call from Monday’s incident in L.A. claimed Moore was “shaking, convulsing, burning up” after having “smoked something.” Luckily, there have been no reports that Demi’s seizure-like symptoms were fatal. However, the actress seems to be letting her health go, as she is also being treated for anorexia at the moment. The eating disorder also appeared after the divorce was announced, putting Demi under a lot of stress and embarrassment.
Let’s hope things work out for the star. Who knew young love could come with such consequence?
