LA band Vintage Trouble doesn’t plan on stopping. The four-piece band, made of lead vocal Ty Taylor, guitar Nalle Colt, bass guitar Rick Dill and percussion Richard Danielson, may be what was missing in music this century. This blues rock band, formed in 2010, has a retro, R&B, soulful sound, with straight-forward, dirty love lyrics. If you put together old blues with modern rock, Vintage Trouble is what you get. That’s different than what we’re used to these days in music, but a good kind of different. It is a kind of music that doesn’t belong to just one piece of the time capsule, or as Rolling Stone magazine says, “It’s a band that’s always in style.”
With their first album released in 2011, The Bomb Shelter, consisting of groovy songs like “Blues Hand Me Down”, “Nancy Lee” or “Jezzebella”; VT has made an entire history behind themselves, boasting the #13 best selling digital album on iTunes, #5 all around best selling digital album on Amazon UK, a spot on the top ten trending topics on Twitter and #1 best selling R&B album on Amazon UK.
Now they are ready for a new album release, 1 Hopeful Rd. You can pre-order the album on their website now and instantly receive songs like “Strike Your Light”, “Run Like The River” and “Doin’ What You Were Doin” … all of which are worth hearing!
The new album has a fresh, different sound compared to the last release. When comparing, The Bomb Shelter was too clean, with carefully played rock ‘n’ roll, unlike 1 Hopeful Rd. The new album has that spark, that sound of troublemakers — this was the bit that was lacking from the previous release.
After performing live shows with The Rolling Stones and The Who, Vintage Trouble is ready for the next adventure, opening for AC/DC. They just began a quick tour in Europe, and then they will be off to the North American tour, starting August 22 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. Their tour will conclude at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, CA on September 28.
With many shows to come, this LA band doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon!
