Noah and The Whale Share New Video and RAC Remix

English indie-folk crusaders Noah and The Whale are following music videos for   “L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.” and “Tonight’s The Kind Of Night,” with the new video for “Life Is Life,” the third single from their recent album Last Night On Earth (March 2011, Mercury Records). The band teamed up with American photographer Autumn de Wilde to direct “Life Is Life” with dazzling affect. Come watch the video and cop a free download of the RAC remix of “Tonight’s The Kind Of Night”  after the jump …

There is just a hair’s-breadth of time during “Life Is Life” where both song and video start out depressingly hopeless, but build within mere seconds of that split quick emotion into a happy crescendo of blissful hope. We love anthem chanting choruses, hand-claps and steadily building keyboard encouragement. These things are reinforced with the richly opulent cinematography employed by de Wilde to make the reds of our protagonist’s skirt and tube socks POP and the washed out neutrals of the dry and weary landscape before her desperately running figure lay bluntly flat. The air-balloon lift-off of destiny at the end there really tied that bow quite neatly for us as well.

The RAC remix of previous single “Tonight’s The Kind Of Night” is probably going to go (as suggested) on our Summer Splash! Playlist just in time for some enchanted 4th of July evening sparks. Nice one.
