If you have seen the movie “Captain America: Civil War”, Ant- man made an appearance as a partner of Captain America. As an effect of that clash of the Avengers, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) was put on house arrest and wears an ankle monitor. He was also told to destroy the Ant-Man suit and also not make contact with Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas)or his daughter Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly). But like all superhero movies, the main character never does what the authority wants them to do. It’s no different in this episode of Ant-Man as Pym wants Scott to work with him to find his wife Janet van Dyne who’s lost in the Quantum Realm.
Having seen Janet during the battle in Civil War they are hoping that he may remember where she may be. So begins a quest that will take you on a wild rollercoaster ride to the impossible. But first he must get his suit, get rid of the pesky ankle monitor and team up with the Wasp (Evangeline Lilly).Peyton Reed returns as director of Ant-Man and the Wasp and he uses most of the characters from his first outing.

Reed does a good job of using the massive amount of CGI in the film and accomplishes a tough task with excellent results. I especially like the trip into the Quantum Realm. The visual journey is like looking into a Kaleidoscope of colors as you travel into the unknown. For Ant-Man this is the trip of a lifetime traveling through an infinite amount of dimensions.

This movie has introduced an old character but in a new aspect. Hope van Dyne has been given a suit that Dr. Pym upgraded while Ant-Man was under house arrest. She then becomes the “Wasp”. With her new suit she has amazing abilities like Ant-Man, but she also has the exceptional modification that makes her fly.

In every Marvel movie there is a super villain and here she’s a criminal named “Ava”. (Hannah John-Kamen). When she becomes a villain she becomes “Ghost”.She has the ability to walk through walls and able to throw a physical punch from afar with a real fist. As for getting her powers, she was not given them using a suit like Ant-Man or wasp. Her powers were given to her due to a failed project in the Quantum Realm conducted by S.H.I.E. L.D.
The use of other Inventions in the movie will grasp your attention. There is now a remote which can grow and shrink items. Do you remember “Hot Wheels” the toy cars, well they become enlarged by the touch of a button of this remote and it is completely drive able. Even Pym’s lab that is in a big building and gets shrunk down to the size of a suit case. Very cool.
