‘Argylle’ Who is the Real Agent?

An adventurous thriller about an experienced well-known author of espionage and spy novels finds herself living in a real spy adventure. This secluded reclusive author discovers that her newest book is mimicking real world events. This is where the quest begins a journey of exploration to discover what is about to happen next.

On a mission to gather important information, Agent Aubrey Argylle  (Henry Cavill) is close to uncovering who he must target. While uncracking this case he meets with Lagrange (Dua Lipa), to negotiate a settlement. When she realizes it’s a trap Lagrange finds a way to get away from Argylle’s grasp, but with the help from his fellow agents Wyatt (John Cena), and Keira (Ariana DeBose), they are able to foil her escape.

During one of her book signing interviews for her fifth book tour Elly Conway (Bryce Dallas Howard) finds herself almost done with her sixth novel but discovers that her ending is not up to par. When she decides to travel to visit her mother Ruth (Catherine O’Hara) , she meets an interesting character on the train, Aidan (Sam Rockwell), who claims to be a secret agent dealing with espionage. Here she learns that the voyage she begins to embark on seems very familiar, so much that she finds out that she is actually a fortune teller of political and government affairs. With the help of Aiden, Elly and her cat Alfie (Chip) she must stay one step ahead of the Division, the organization that is trying to capture her.

Director Matthew Vaughn brings us an action thriller adventure that definitely includes many hilarious scenes. He presents an excellent twist to the narrative that keeps you on edge wondering who is behind everything. With this exceptional storyline that keeps moving along through the escapade of the tale with action-packed fighting and with fantastic stunts. Matthew also included the simulation of spectacular special effects that help build together a great plot. Along with the tremendous performance by the actors this becomes a fun and enjoyable experience for all. With the intention that Argylle is the start of a trilogy, we are sure to see a few more of these movies out sometime in the near future.

For an early event to the year this film brings a good bang for the buck and is worth seeing on the big screen. You are sure to walk away having been entertained and wondering when the next installment of this series will be back on the silver screen.

Final Comment: I based my grade on an outstanding presentation along with a wonderful narrative.
