HOW TO PLEASE A WOMAN a Sexy Comedy

The title alone should let you know the target audience for this very sexy comedy. But How to Please a Woman should not be missed by males as this little ditty is a how to infomercial for the men as well. Nicely acted by a fine cast, directed and written by Renee Webster as here first big screen debut, and the bright cinematography makes it easy on the eyes. And believe it or not, the film was inspired by a true story.

Feeling down due to an unexpected loss of her job due to a restructure, Gina (Sally Phillips) needs something to lift her spirits. Her friends from her swim group listen to her situation that includes her married life missing the spark she once had in bed. One day Gina answers the door and its well-built sex worker Tom (Alexander England). Greeting her with a gift of him for two hours, he offers no restrictions of what he can do for her. Gina lets Tom know that she’s not ready for that, so she asks him to clean her house instead.

Getting an idea of how she could get eye pleasing men to start a new “cleaning business” she goes to the moving company where Tom works and makes an offer to the crew. Renée Webster provides a very fun and energizing comedy that plays out seamlessly. The ladies in the major roles as Gina’s swim friends bring a lot to the film, and the men are hunks and ripped. Not a dull moment, the situation comedy moves along at a fast pace with each new scene topping the last.

The enjoyable performance by Sally Phillips makes the film work. As Gina she’s a determined woman with a lot of ideas that start to get complicated as the business gets rolling. The laugher gets contagious as her character finds herself tempted to try the merchandise.

How to Please a Woman has not been rated by the MPAA, but contains nudity, sexual innuendos, some language. The target audience of women 20 plus should get a big kick out of it, so my rating is 4 out of 5 stars.
