Psychological Thriller Rebecca Coming to Netflix this Month

Rebecca is a mesmerising and gorgeously rendered psychological thriller based on Daphne du Maurier’s beloved 1938 gothic novel.

The story develops after a whirlwind romance in Monte Carlo where a handsome widower Maxim de Winter (Armie Hammer), and an unsuspecting young woman (Lily James) hastily get married.

Rebecca: (L to R) Kristin Scott Thomas as Mrs. Danvers, Lily James as Daphne, Armie Hammer as Maxim de Winter

Once they arrive at Manderley (her new husband’s imposing family estate on a windswept English coast), things really start to pick up the pace.

Naive and inexperienced, the new Mrs. de Winter begins to settle into the trappings of her new life, but finds herself battling the shadow of Maxim’s first wife, the elegant and urbane Rebecca, whose haunting legacy is kept alive by Manderley’s creepy housekeeper Mrs. Danvers (Kristin Scott Thomas).

Directed by Ben Wheatley (High Rise, Free Fire) and produced by Working Title Films (Emma, Darkest Hour). Rebecca streams on Netflix October 21, 2020.
