Delivering a new series of a familiar set of characters, Disney continues to wow as Star Wars continues in this animated adventure called The Bad Batch. Direct to Disney + the first episode is available May 4th. Whether you’re a Star Wars fan or just like the action created from the original, this series is a lot of fun filled sci-fi exploits.

While experimenting on the Clones a batch of the empire’s soldiers were accidently altered and found unfit for duty. First introduced in The Clone Wars, the misfits Hunter, Crosshair, Echo, Tech and Wrecker formed a band of five and found themselves as rogue Clones, but still serving the Emperor. As they fight their way through the new order’s system, and changes in the Galaxy, they start to think differently about what’s right and wrong.

The Bad Batch series, like most of the successful Star Wars TV dramas, is very good in both production and animation. The story works well as a spin-off and a standalone adventure. Much like all the Star Wars Animated for TV they should have a wide audience from 7 to mid-twenties. The new characters are strong and have special powers that were installed that single them out, yet each are as likable at the next.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch will start May 4th with a 70 minute opener that introduces the rogue clones, adds some new characters and movies their story along at a fast clip. Then, every Friday a new episode will be added to further their exploits. The opening chapter gets my highest score of 5 out of 5 Stars.
